Welcome to the Samuel Johnston Ltd online baby shop website terms and conditions for use.
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. We may vary these terms from time to time and therefore you should check them before you make a new purchase.
If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this Website.
Voucher & Discount codes
Voucher codes are only available at www.samueljohnston.com
- Some exclusions may apply. We hold the right to exclude certain brands or categories from promotions or discounts as and when we see appropriate. This may be due to supplier restrictions or other such factors. Some exclusions are iCandy, Egg, Babystyle, Sleepyhead, Cybex, Chicco & Bugaboo.
- Discount codes may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, deal, sale, discount or promotion (e.g. free or bonus items), including without limitation, staff discount or any other discount code or any other promotions.
- The discount will be applied automatically at checkout provided the code is valid and has been typed correctly into the promotional box.
- Once an order has been completed, the discount cannot be applied retrospectively.
- Postage, packing and delivery charges are additional costs and not subject to discount.
- Voucher and Discount codes are non-transferable and should not be sold on auction sites for profit.
- All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any items and/or change these terms and conditions at any time.
- We reserve the right to end/or start promotions at any time.
Sale items
- The sale applies to selected items only. Sale items will be clearly marked down.
- We reserve the right that sale offers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion.
- All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any items and/or change these terms and conditions at any time.

Clearance & Outlet items
- Clearance/or Outlet items will be clearly marked as such and are new unless otherwise clearly stated.
- We reserve the right that Clearance offers may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or promotion.
- All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any items and/or change these terms and conditions at any time.
- Postage, packing and delivery charges are additional costs and not subject to discount.
Warranties
Samuel Johnston take pride in enusring that all products bought and sold meet all legal requirements for safety. These requirements are put in place by the EU to ensure all products are safe. We endeavour to ensure that the products don't just meet these rquirements but most of our products are put through further stricter testing such as the ADAC test for car seats.
The products which are sold on this web site have been designed to comply with the statutory legal requirements and relevant safety standards of the United Kingdom, Ireland and European Union. Most products will be covered for a period of 6 months from delivery, from defects in materials and workmanship. For all pushchairs warranties please refer to that individual product pages for more detailed Guarantee information as this may vary depending on the product and manufacturer. Please see our Returns Policy section for more information regarding what to do with Faulty / Damaged Goods.
Orders
When you receive your confirmation from placing an order, this is to indicate that we have received your order, this is not a binding contract, the contract between us will be in place once the invoice printed by us to indicate acceptance of the order.
Samuel Johnston are under no obligation to accept a customer’s order. This may apply if the order fails to pass certain fraudulent checks, a customer manages to double discount, the order is unable to be fulfilled or there is an error with the product pricing.
All payments are made in Pounds Sterling (GBP) By Proceeding To Checkout you are confirming that you have read and understood our Terms & Conditions. Currency conversions are approximate, they vary daily and are subject to change. We have no responsibility to match previously seen pricing. Any payments made by PayPal or Card will be subject to their daily rates.
Samuel Johnston reserves the right to cancel any order which does not have matching billing and delivery details. We will take precautions to ensure that if details do not match that the order has been properly vetted before cancellation takes place.
Customers are responsible for the import duties and taxes applied by the receiving delivery countries customs officials.
While we use a live stock feed to make sure you can order with confidence when the item is showing as “In Stock”, certain larger items such as furniture may be drop shipped directly from the supplier. The “In Stock” status of these items are from the live stock feed from our suppliers and cannot always be seen as accurate.
Samuel Johnston try to be as accurate as possible using supplier information to ensure that the lead times of items are as accurate as possible sometimes forces outside of our control can lead to a delay in delivery to our warehouse. Customers are advised that lead times are estimated times of delivery to our warehouse and they should treat them as estimates.

Cancelling / Returning your order.
Samuel Johnston cannot accept requests for order cancellation after the goods have been dispatched. If goods have already been dispatched it is the customers responsibility to arrange return and refund of the items. Deliveries which have been refused may be liable for shipping charges.

Delivery Schedule
Our whole operation is designed to get your order out the door and on its way to you in the shortest possible time frame, so you aren't left waiting. Providing the goods, you have selected are in stock at the time of purchase we will make every effort to despatch your order the same day.
All goods will be delivered in the specified timeframe (as per product listings). Smaller items may be sent out using regular mail service to reduce shipping costs and delivery times to you. This may not apply in respect of deliveries outside of the UK. All deliveries will be made to you at the address specified by you in the order. We may, at our discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately.
Customers must make appropriate arrangements to be present to receive the goods they have ordered. You will receive an email when your order has been dispatched which will provide you with a rough estimate of the expected delivery date and time. It will also provide tracking details where goods have been sent via courier.
If we cannot deliver the products to you at the address you have specified for any reason (other than when we are at fault), we will notify you and store the products at your risk. If you wish us to redeliver the products to you, you will need to authorise us to charge your credit card/debit card for such re-delivery. If we do not hear from you within 28 days, we will cancel the order and refund your payment to you less any reasonable delivery and storage charges we may have incurred.
Samuel Johnston reserves the right to amend the service level of an order, if a quicker means of delivery is available or the chosen service is deemed unsuitable for the consignment, due to courier limitations.
Taking Delivery of Your Order
All deliveries must be signed for and you will be responsible for the products as soon as they are delivered and found to be in conformity to the contract. Ownership of the products shall pass to you once we have received payment in full.
All shortages and damages must be reported to us in writing or by e-mail within 3 working days.
You MUST check your order upon receipt of delivery to ensure all items ordered have been received in their correct colours, quantities and condition. We will only accept errors in picking within 3 days of receipt of the goods. For this reason, it is imperative that all orders are checked when they arrive, as mistakes cannot be rectified later. Also claims for goods damaged in transit must be brought to our attention within 3 days of receipt of them. We will not consider claims for damaged goods not reported within this time.
To discuss the delivery of your order, please send an email to customer-services@samueljohnston.co.uk (please include your order number in the email). We aim to respond to your enquiry within 24 hours of receipt (Monday -Friday).
International Shipping
Customers buying from outside the EU may have different tax legislation to adhere to. Samuel Johnston Ltd does not charge VAT (tax) to any orders outside the EU so customers may be liable to pay import tax on any items they purchase at their countries natural rate for that product. Not all items being exported may be stopped by import customs and charged import tax, but this could happen so please allow for this eventuality at the tax rate your country charges these items.
Customers may be reminded that when an order is accepted, it may take longer than usual to get to its destination being shipped internationally due to customs etc.
It is not our duty or responsibility to arrange the tax application on any products purchased from outside the UK or EU.
Site Security
This site does utilise "cookies" however this is solely for the purpose of tracking the contents of your online shopping cart. You can disable the cookies from running however this will also disable the shopping cart too. We suggest that cookies are not blocked on this site as no information is gathered about you except for that which is necessary to allow the provision and delivery of your goods and ability to contact you should the need arise.

All transactions carried out on this site are perfectly secure. The site uses industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocols to ensure that all information sent is kept strictly secure and private. Samuel Johnston Ltd is full PCI certified for guaranteed peace of mind for all our customers.
Privacy Policy
Samuel Johnston Ltd does not share this information with ANY third parties for ANY reason (except our courier company and then only the details relevant to the delivery of the goods to you, as mentioned above.) This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

All dimensions, weights, volumes and other measurements provided onsite are intended as approximations only. All these figures have been supplied by us in good faith and are subject to slight variances between models. We regret that minor variances between quoted and actual figures would not constitute a reason for return as faulty. In cases where the variance from the manufacturers quoted figures is minor, you may still be able to return the item under our Hassle-Free Returns Policy.
Competitions & Giveaways
- The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom except employees of Samuel Johnston Ltd and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
- There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. (Unless Stated)
- Closing date for entry will be annouced on social media. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control.
