Free In-store Nursery Lay-away Plan

Ever since our family business was first established back in 1936 we have always offered a free nursery lay-away plan for parents to be and a Toy Club at Christmas.

This is a traditional service that most independent nursery specialists used to offer, and we feel that it’s important to keep this tradition alive.  

Why Use Our Lay-away Service?

There are several reasons why prospective parents would want to take advantage of this free service.  

At Samuel Johnston’s we always carry stock for immediate sales and although ordering is not always essential, due to the extensive choices available and long lead times from some manufacturers, most of our local customers do order early and use our Lay-away service to ensure they get the model of their choice in the colour of their choice, whether it is for a modern travel system, traditional coach-built pram or nursery furniture.

Other reasons why our Lay-away service would be ideal for you is that you may wish to start saving for now, or perhaps parents and friends are helping to contribute financially, or maybe not wanting the pram in the house before the baby is born.  This is no problem for us, we simply store your baby goods in our nursery club stockroom ready for when you need them, again we don’t charge you for this service!

So How Does the Free In-store Nursery Lay-away Plan Work?

The nursery plan is available on any non-clearance items. For any Price Match products, we can store them for you free of charge, but the order must be paid in full.  For all other items the following applies:

• On ordering we require a minimum 25% deposit which secures your order. 
• If you wish, you may pay off as much and as often as you like, or just pay the balance on collection.
• Early ordering can also save you money, as we don’t charge you for storing your goods and we will also guarantee the price at the time you order, so should there be a price increase in the meantime it will not be passed onto you.
• Your items will be ready 1 month prior to your due date (unless alternative dates are agreed).
• Items must be paid in full before collection.
