Snuza Hero MD Medically Certified Portable Baby Breathing Monitor

Monitor your baby’s breathing movements during sleep with the Snuza Hero MD, a medically certified wearable monitor that clips directly onto their nappy. Its standalone design provides vibration and audible alerts without wires, mattress sensor pads or an app.

The Snuza Hero MD uses a flexible sensor tip positioned against your baby’s tummy to detect breathing-related abdominal movements. If no movement is detected for 15 seconds, it gently vibrates in an attempt to rouse your baby. If movement remains undetected for a further five seconds, an audible alarm sounds so you can respond immediately.

Certified as a Class IIb medical device, the monitor has undergone testing and clinical evaluation for efficacy and reliability. An optional, volume-controlled ticking function provides an audible indication of detected breathing movements, alongside indicator lights and configurable warning settings.

Compact and portable, it runs on an included replaceable CR2 battery. A protective carrying case keeps the monitor stored between uses, making it convenient to take away for use in a suitable, stationary sleep space.

Compatibility

Designed to clip onto the folded waistband of a snug-fitting nappy, with the flexible sensor maintaining contact with your baby’s tummy. Correct positioning is essential, as loose or very wet nappies may cause loss of contact and false alarms.

Use while your baby sleeps in their own separate sleep space. It is not suitable for bed-sharing and should not be relied upon in moving vehicles, while a pram is being pushed or wherever external movement may affect detection.

Follow the supplied instructions regarding clothing and positioning, and keep the monitor at least two metres from radio-transmitting devices.

Ideal Uses

  • Monitoring breathing-related movements during sleep in a stationary cot or crib.
  • Families looking for a medically certified wearable baby monitor.
  • Parents wanting straightforward monitoring without Wi-Fi or an app.
  • Households preferring a nappy-mounted sensor rather than a mattress pad.
  • Use away from home in a suitable, separate and stationary sleep space.

Important Safety Information

This monitor does not prevent SIDS, guarantee your baby’s safety or detect every life-threatening event. It does not replace adult supervision, safer-sleep practices, professional medical advice or prescribed monitoring equipment.

It detects abdominal breathing movements rather than heart rate or blood-oxygen levels. Read the supplied instructions before use, check positioning and operation each time, and attend to your baby immediately if the alarm sounds.
