Delivery Information

We offer reliable, tracked delivery throughout the UK and Ireland, with orders fulfilled through our Belfast (UK) and Dublin (Ireland) operations.

Our fulfilment network allows us to dispatch orders from the location best suited to your delivery address and the products ordered — helping provide faster, more efficient delivery while avoiding unnecessary cross-border customs processes.

For UK and Ireland customers, the price you pay at checkout is the price you pay — no unexpected import VAT, customs duty or customs-clearance charges on delivery.

Exclusions may apply to certain oversized products or items delivered directly by a supplier. Any applicable delivery charge will be shown at checkout.

UK & Ireland Fulfilment

Samuel Johnston operates fulfilment facilities in Belfast (UK) and Dublin (Ireland), allowing us to efficiently serve customers throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Orders for delivery within the UK will normally be fulfilled from Belfast, while orders for the Republic of Ireland will normally be fulfilled from Dublin.

Orders may occasionally be dispatched from another warehouse, supplier or fulfilment partner depending on stock availability and the products ordered. An order containing multiple products may also arrive in more than one delivery.

Our fulfilment network is designed to keep orders within the appropriate UK or EU market wherever possible, providing quicker and more efficient delivery while reducing unnecessary cross-border customs processes.

No Unexpected Import Charges

When ordering for delivery within the UK or Republic of Ireland, the applicable VAT is included in the price you pay.

You will not be asked to pay additional import VAT, customs duty or customs-clearance charges when your order is delivered.

This is particularly important when shopping between the UK and Ireland. Our Belfast (UK) and Dublin (Ireland) fulfilment operations allow us to manage the appropriate fulfilment route for your order, so you can shop with confidence without worrying about an unexpected customs bill when your parcel arrives.

The price agreed at checkout is the price you pay for your goods and selected delivery service.

Dispatch & Delivery Times

In-stock items are normally dispatched promptly and typically arrive within 2–3 working days, unless a different timeframe is stated on the product page.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise. Deliveries normally take place Monday to Friday, excluding applicable public holidays.

Some products may be dispatched directly from a supplier or fulfilment partner and may have different delivery times. Where applicable, this will be indicated on the product page or during checkout.

If your order contains products being fulfilled from different locations, your order may arrive in separate deliveries.

Furniture & Large Bulky Items

Larger or heavier products require specialist handling and transportation. These items may therefore be delivered using our specialist pallet transport service rather than a standard parcel courier.

The subsidised bulky-item surcharge helps towards the additional costs involved in safely transporting these products, which may include:

  • secure pallet loading and protective wrapping;
  • specialist handling of large or heavy products;
  • dedicated pallet transportation; and
  • appropriate transit protection.

The applicable delivery charge will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Using specialist pallet delivery helps ensure larger products receive the additional care and protection required during transportation from our warehouse to your home.

Delivery Tracking & Confirmation

Where tracking is available, you will receive dispatch and tracking information once your order is on its way.

Many of our parcel deliveries are made by DPD. Depending on the delivery service and destination, DPD may provide an estimated delivery window and options for managing your delivery.

Proof of delivery may include delivery information, a photograph and location data showing where the parcel was delivered.

Where available, customers may be able to nominate a Safe Place or make other delivery arrangements directly with the courier. If a Safe Place instruction is active, the courier may leave the parcel in the designated location and record proof of delivery.

Other courier, postal or specialist delivery services may be used depending on the product, parcel size and delivery destination.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.

Pre-Order Products

Pre-order products allow you to reserve products before they become available for immediate dispatch.

The expected availability or delivery timeframe will normally be displayed on the relevant product page. These dates are estimates and can occasionally change due to circumstances outside our control, including manufacturer or supplier delays.

Once the product becomes available for fulfilment, we will process your order and send dispatch or tracking information where available.

EU & International Delivery

We may also offer delivery to selected European Union and international destinations.

Available destinations, delivery services and charges will be shown at checkout where supported.

VAT, customs duties, import taxes and clearance charges can vary for destinations outside our normal UK and Republic of Ireland fulfilment arrangements. Where additional charges may apply, please refer to the information provided during checkout and our Terms & Conditions.
