Is there an isofix base to fix this into the car without using seat belts?
Thank you.

Hi Karen, there is not. The only carrycot with an optional isofix base is the Jane Matrix Light 2 car seat which turns into a carrycot. It's the first carry cot, and still the only one of its type in the world.
The Transporter 2 is a carrycot that can also be used as a lie flat car seat in the car, but it only uses seat belts. Hope this helps.SJ

I was wondering if there was additional safety info available for the Jane Transporter 2 please? Newborn to 9m must be rear facing now so that a collision would throw them into the seat and their head would not move. I can't see how this is achieved in the carrycot. We have bought one though as we need it for visiting family. Thanks

Hi Jane, The Transporter 2 Auto Carrycot complies with the current European Safety Regulations ECE R44/04. It has also passed many independent safety and consumer tests, Like the EUROTEST 2011 and WHICH? in the UK , where the results gave the carrycot from Jané, 4 stars, making it one of the safest and best valued in the market.
You can find more independent info from RACC on this link (you may need to use Google to translate the page),
http://w3.racc.es/index.php?mod=actualidad&mem=detalle&id=374
The design (lie-flat travel position) is actually healthier for new-born babies and recommended by health officials.
Also you can find crash test videos from the JANÉ you tube Channel and their official websites.
Hope this helps. SJ

Is this compatible with other pram brands other than Jane?
Thanks.

Hi Jen,
The Jané Transporter Auto carrycot will fit the majority of Jane prams and chassis which have the Pro-Fix system. That's virtually every Jane chassis or pram since 2005.
It is not compatible with other brands of pushchairs on the market because they tend to use fitting kits. Jane stopped using fitting kits more than 10 years ago and moved to a more advance securing system, called the Pro-Fix system. The Pro-Fix system is built-in on every Jane chassis and car seat so you don't use awkward fitting kits at attach them.
Hope this helps.

Is this carrycot compatible with the jane slalom reverse travel system? Many thanks

Good morning Stephanie,
Thanks for getting in touch, hopefully I can help.
Yes, is the short answer! All new Jane car seats and carrycots are part of what Jane calls their "pro" range. As are their pushchairs. Basically this means that you can fit any car seat to any pushchair without the need for any kind of fitting kit or adaptor brackets. It makes it not only incredibly easy to fit and remove your choice of car seat or carrycot with just one hand. But also means that if you decide to buy a new Jane pushchair or car seats in the future you know that these will be compatible. It s really simple, but really usefull idea.
So yes, you can use the Transporter II on the Slalom R chassis with no problems at all.
I hope that helps Stephanie!
kind regards,
