Caboodle

Established in 1986 by Ruth Kirby-Smith, a close family friend and founder of Caboodle Bags.

The name for the company came out of the blue as Ruth followed a car on the motorway loaded up with mum, dad, kids and luggage.

‘Gosh, they are taking the whole Caboodle’ Ruth thought… and there was the name for the company and the product.

In 2016 when Ruth decided to retire from the business and focus on “putting her feet up with a book and a glass of wine” my husband and I thought that this would be a perfect opportunity for us to take it forward.

We hope to continue providing good quality, affordable, and stylish bags to all the parents, grandparents and friends out there. And hopefully one day we too can sit back with our feet up with a book and a large glass of wine in hand….milk for Thomas of course!
